India’s most anticipated web series is back with a bang. Sacred Games season 2 trailer made its way to the internet yesterday, and it quickly became one of the most talked-about things apart from the India New Zealand semifinal match.

Remember how people waited for Baahubali 2and that one question to be answered – Katappa ne Baahubali ko kyun mara? That’s exactly how badly – or maybe more – people were waiting for the trailer of Netflix original series Sacred Games 2, and it has finally arrived!

Though, the nation is waiting for too many questions to be answered in the series, the trailer has caused enough commotion for people to start discussing what to expect. Ganesh Gaitonde aka Nawazuddin Siddiqui is back and this time he is seeking revenge. The trailer starts with Bunty’s voice asking Bhau kaha ho aap?

As the trailer proceeds, we see new characters, from Ranveer Shorey, Kalki Koechlin, to Pankaj Tripathi and it gets gripping.

The streaming company also tweeted from its official Twitter account, ‘Now that the Sacred Games 2 trailer and release date are here, could you please stop threatening us?’

With the hashtag #SacredGames2 dominating all trends, people couldn’t keep calm and shared a lot of memes from the trailer. Pankaj Tripathi as Guruji has come out of the confines of a small television set and can be seen in his full glory. But, looks like Pankaj Tripathi is the new favourite subject of the memes. Here are some of the most hilarious memes shared on Twitter:

The end of the trailer leaves us asking for more as Saif’s father Sardarji asks Gaitonde, “Bhagwaan ko maante ho?” and he replies “kya?”. Well, we definitely cannot contain our excitement.

The new season of the Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer promises to be bigger and better than its previous instalment and is shot extensively in Kenya, Cape Town and Johannesburg. The second season will also see Ganesh Gaitonde seeking refuge in Kenya and becoming a crime lord.

The series will roll out on August 15 and we can’t control our excitement!
