Twitterati boycotts Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Toofan’ first look over his comment on CAA

Farhan Akhtar is currently feeling the heat of not taking a stand for CAA and his statement on media for the same. The whole matter arises when he was asked about the ongoing conditions in the country and his views on NRC and CAA. To which he replied that ‘As a citizen of the country and as somebody who was born and has grown up with a certain idea of India is, it is important for me to raise my voice… If everything was ok, why would so many people turn up? Not just in Mumbai, but Delhi, Assam, Bangalore, Hyderabad.’

Recently, Farhan shared the first look of his upcoming movie ‘Toofan’ and got under the radar of Twitterati. In this movie, he is playing the role of a boxer. People are demanding a halt on his movie over his irresponsible statement over CAA.

Farhan was soon got reminded about his comment by the netizens and how people are waiting for his befitting reply or clarification over this. One Twitter user even tried to use Farhan’s language as he said if so many people are asking to boycott the film, there definitely would be ‘something wrong’.
