Miss World Manushi Chillar to work with UNICEF to broadcast the significance of childhood immunisation!

UNICEF has enlisted Bollywood debutant Manushi Chhillar, who will star alongside Akshay Kumar in Prithviraj, to raise awareness about the importance of childhood immunisation in India. Manushi, who took home the prestigious Miss World crown, is an outspoken person who utilises social media to raise awareness on topics such as menstrual hygiene.

During World Immunization Week (April 24-30), she will be leading from the centre, communicating with people on social media to share this vital message far and wide.

Manushi believes that, “Vaccines have helped generations of children grow up in good health, safe from infectious and dangerous diseases like polio and measles. To save lives, we must redouble our efforts to vaccinate children – particularly the most vulnerable. We must not let #COVID19 disrupt children’s access to life-saving childhood vaccines.” She said, “Vaccines will help protect children from the most devastating impacts of infectious diseases. As we wait for #COVID19 vaccines to roll out more widely, let’s remember to vaccinate our children against other highly contagious diseases which remain a serious threat to their lives.”

Manushi will soon be seen on the big screen in Yash Raj Films’ historical Prithviraj, where she will play the ravishingly stunning Princess Sanyogiya.
