Veteran screenwriter-Lyricist Javed Akhtar slams those who troll him for his ‘Bully Bai ‘tweet

Veteran screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar, on Monday, on his Twitter handle challenged everyone’s silence over the ‘Bulli Bai’ controversy wherein several doctored pictures of Muslim women were shared online for an auction. Soon after, Javed Akhtar faced trolling on social media platforms. Also, Netizens slammed him for mentioning the Dharma Sansad held in Haridwar. On the other hand, others challenged his silence over other matters.

Replying to the same, veteran screenwriter and lyricist in a tweet said, “The moment I raised my voice against the online auction of women and those glorifying Godse and preaching genocide to the army police n people  some bigots have started abusing my great great grandfather a freedom fighter who died in kala pani in 1864 What do you say to such idiots.”

Coming back to Javed Akhtar, he is a great story writer and a greater lyricist.

As we all know, Farhan Akhtar, actor-filmmaker had also tweeted against the sickening act of putting women for auction. Also, many Bollywood celebrities which include Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Screenwriter Varun Grover, and Shruti Seth had commented on the issue and called it disgusting.
