Video: Sushmita Sen recalls her Miss India days, reveals her gown was sewn by a local tailor

Sushmita Sen is one of the finest actresses in the B-Town and needs no introduction when it comes to her talent and achievements. As we all know, she won the Miss India contest in the year 1994. It was a moment of pride for her and the nation. Recalling the entire journey, she shared some interesting details about how she won the contest and struggle she faced at that time.

She revealed, at that time, her family didn’t have enough money to go for a swanky readymade gown and it was important to represent the contest in a stunning gown. She said that her mother motivated her by saying they will look at you and not your clothes and they went to a local tailor in Sarojini Nagar to get a gown ready for the competition.

After that, she revealed another interesting thing that she didn’t have fashionable gloves at that time. Her mother prepared the gloves using socks and some elastic. Watch the video below:

After winning the competition, it was her time to show magic on the big screen. She got numerous film offers from big banners in the industry and she did multiple movies in the next year after winning the title. On the work front, she is all set to make her comeback from a web series called Aarya and the series is directed by Ram Madhvani.
