India’s current captain Virat Kohli is happily married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. The couple took wedding vows in December 2017 in a lavish Italian wedding followed by two grand receptions one in Delhi and other in Mumbai. The couple’s wedding was a huge surprise for their fans as no one expected it. However, everyone knew about Anushka and Virat’s love relationship.
Well, post their wedding, Anushka and Virat have been quite busy with their work commitments but they try to spend as much time they can whenever they are free from work. Anushka soon after her marriage had accompanied Virat to one of the matches happening in South Africa. The actress has also accompanied her ace cricketer husband to many overseas tours, post their wedding.
But the sad part is that the actress was not able to stay for the entire tour with her husband but just two weeks. Well, it’s because of the rules set by the BCCI and as per its current policy, the wives of the players and staff are only allowed to stay for two weeks. As per the reports of a leading news daily, Virat Kohli has requested to the top BCCI official to change their policy who further conveyed it to the CoA (Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators).
CoA sources revealed to a leading news daily that Virat has indeed requested for the policy change but as of now, it remains the same.
ANI tweeted about the same and said, “Yes he requested but we are not going to take any decision soon, we have said we will leave it to the new office bearers. The policy will not change now: Committee of Administrators (CoA) Sources to ANI on Virat Kohli requests BCCI to allow wives for whole overseas tours.”
On the work front, Virat is currently riding high on his 24th test century while Anushka is celebrating the success of her latest outing, Sui Dhaaga – Made in India.
