Vivek Agnihotri, maker of ‘The Kashmir Files’ — has been recently sharing ‘behind the scenes’ clips of the movie all over his social media handles to recall the environment then. However, in a Facebook post recently, Vivek was seen breaking down post shooting the death scene of the character played by veteran actor Anupam Kher, wherein the filmmaker was seen hugging Kher with heavy eyes.
Vivek wrote that he didn’t cry after losing his own parents but couldn’t resist himself post the shooting of the scene. “When my mother died in 2004, I didn’t cry. When my father died in 2008, I didn’t cry. But when I shot this death scene with Anupam Kher I couldn’t stop. No son could. Such is the intensity of pain of our Kashmiri Hindu parents. Pl watch #TheKashmirFiles only for this scene,” said Vivek.
The movie, however, saw a lot of controversy being built across the country from various politicians and other people. However, fans title the movie as — the movie that reached almost all corners of the country with a strong narrative of the series of events happened with Kashmiri Pandits at the Kashmir Valley in 1990s. Released on March 11, the movie has garnered more than Rs 200 crore on the box office.
