Bollywood’s one of the most iconic love stories of all time, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has completed 24 years today. The film starring Kajol and Shah Rukh, is etched in memories of each and every Bollywood fanatic. The love story of Raj and Simran has remained one of the most loved films across the globe.
Since the film clocked 24 years today, as a tribute to the milestone, Kajol managed to recreate one her iconic poses from the film taking all us fans down the memory lane. The actress can be seen sitting in a corner of her home, reading a book with reading glasses, the same as was the scene in the film.
The iconic pose was also on one of the posters of DDLJ, and we’re just reminiscing the good old love story. Sharing the video on her Instagram handle, Kajol wrote, “Still got the specs & still reading in weird places even after 24 years.”
Directed by Aditya Chopra, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is the longest-running Bollywood film, as it keeps playing in Maratha Mandir in Mumbai, even after a span of 24 years. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie is still one of the classics and holds a special place in the history of Bollywood.
One of the major attractions of the film was a stellar cast which included Anupam Kher, Amrish Puri, Satish Shah, Mandira Bedi, Farida Jalal, Karan Johar and of course Shah Rukh and Kajol.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol was last seen in the film ‘Helicopter Eela’. The 45-year-old actress will is currently busy in her next film ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, in which her husband Ajay Devgn plays the lead role. The movie directed by Om Raut is scheduled to hit theatres in January 2020.
