Wedding bells are ringing all around this year and we must say Bollywood and TV celebs have left no room to make their wedding more stylish and lavish. From Neha Dhupia to Deepika Padukone and Isha Ambani to Kapil Sharma, they all got married with their loved ones.
Mostly Indian weddings are one gala affair and they spend lacs and crore on it, especially celebrities. However, they opt to go green as they carry such stardom that people will religiously follow their steps so whatever they do, they do it in good and healthy ways. Many stars opt for e-cards or invitations with plant saplings. While some prefer to make their wedding ceremony environment-friendly, others have made sure that food would not be wasted.
Taking an example, Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor opted for an e-invite as they wanted to make an eco-friendly choice by reducing the wastage of paper. Even Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar have planted a sapling for every guest who attended their wedding.
Latest wedding of b’town that created an overwhelming buzz, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have also requested the guests to donate in the DP’s NGO. A source was quoted as saying, “The bride and groom have requested the guests to not shower them with gifts. If they wish to give them anything, they’ve requested that donations be made to Deepika’s foundation that actively works towards creating awareness and removing the stigma around depression. Both Ranveer and Deepika are deeply committed to the cause and want to involve all their guests in the good deed.”
And now, Kapil Sharma has added his name in the good deeds list by donating the leftover food from his wedding to the needy in an NGO. They contacted Kapil asked to donate the food as they got to about his big fat Indian wedding. The source was quoted as saying, “When they told Kapil about their cause, he said yes without thinking twice. He told them to take the food from all his functions including the reception in Amritsar and distribute it.”
Well, change begin from only one person and they all have proved this!
