Miss World 2021 postponed after contestants including India’s Manasa Varanasi test positive for COVID-19

As per the latest reports Miss World, 2021 was postponed after several contestants tested positive for COVID-19. The announcement was made on Thursday, and the contestants are currently in isolation in Puerto Rico.

The official statement said, “Keeping in mind the rising Covid cases amongst the contestants, the Miss World Organisation has decided to postpone the Miss World Finale.”

The decision came into effect after 17 contestants, staff members, Manasa Varanasi, Miss India World tested positive for COVID-19.

On their official Instagram page, the Miss India organization said, “we were in great disbelief that Manasa Varanasi might not be able to grace the world stage. It added we can’t wait to welcome Manasa back home and nurture her back to health and send her back stronger, healthier, and happier.

Also, as per the reports the broadcast of the finale will be scheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days and the official statement read, “once and only when contestants and staff are cleared by health officials and advisors, will contestant and related staff return to their home countries.

The decision to postponed the event had been taken after the meeting with medical experts.
