Yami Gautam recently dolled up and treated her fans to a stunning new look that was reminiscent of an iconic Bollywood song. The actress, who is currently shooting for her next film ‘Bala’, recreated the veteran actress Neetu Singh’s look from the legendary Bollywood song ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’.
The original song was part of the film “Khel Khel Mein” and Yami recreated the same look for her upcoming film ‘Bala’. Yami can be seen all dolled up in an avatar that stands a very heavy resemblance to Neetu Singh’s look. The look has been recreated for a song titled ‘Don’t Be Shy’ in the movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar.
Talking about her look in the song, and the resemblance to Neetu Singh, Yami said that she always loved the 1970s and everything associated with it.
Speaking to a leading news agency, Yami said, “The 1970s fashion is timeless and for ‘Bala’ we took inspiration of that era and especially this song of Neetu ma’am which is also one of my personal favourites. We have adapted it into a version that worked for the film but our source of inspiration was the era overall which is a timeless period.”
She further added, “I personally love the 70s and everything associated with it. The look and its idea of the specific sleeves, the short dresses, the hair accessories, and polka dots were something that’s classic of that time.”
