Yo Yo Honey Singh has released his statement to reveal his side of story regarding the case file against him by his wife Shalini Talwar on domestic violence.
Honey Singh has said that he is ‘deeply pained and distressed’ by the ‘malicious allegations’ against him. He asked the fans and the people to not make any conclusions until the Hon’ble Court renders a decision after hearing from both sides.
Honey Singh said that he has never issued a press note or public statements in the past as he likes to keep his problems private despite receiving ‘harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, and negative media coverage in general’. However he believes that maintaining deliberate silence this time is pointless.
His statement reads, “Some of the allegations have been directed at my family – my old parents and younger sister – who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature”.
The singer stated about the relationship with Shalini as “I have been associated with the industry for over 15 years and worked with artists and musicians across the country. Everyone is aware of my relationship with my wife, who has been an integral part of my crew for more than a decade now and always accompanied me to my shoots, events, and meetings”.
He added, “I strongly refute all the allegations but will not comment any further because the matter is sub-judice before the Court of Law. I have full faith in the judicial system of this country, and I am confident that the truth will be out soon”.
Ishaan Mukherjee, who is the lawyer of Honey Singh, said “We have received the notice from the court. We have absolute faith in the judiciary and the truth will be out soon. We will file our reply as directed in the order.
Since the matter is sub-judice we do not wish to comment further at this moment. The law will take its own course and the truth will be out soon”.
