A video is going viral on the web, and surprisingly it’s of a delivery boy who is an agent of Zomato, the Online Food delivery application. In the video, it is clearly seen that Zomato delivery agent is so hungry and busy in eating the meant to be delivered food.

We could see in the video that an agent is seen sitting on the scooter on the side of the road with his bag stuffed with delivery food. The video starts where he is seen eating the food that looks like a parcel meant for delivery. He keeps the parcel box back and takes out another one, well after eating from the box, he closes it back with finishing and keeps it back on the bag inside. Take a look at the video…

People are taking concern about the matter and even the company has taken the matter into consideration.

One of the spokesmen from the Zomato said in his statement, “We take these kinds of reports extremely seriously and are investigating possible causes internally. We would, however, like to iterate that – if this video is authentic, given our multiple communication channels with users, who expect the highest standards from Zomato and highlight the smallest deviations and anomalies to us as soon as they receive their orders, this is an unusual and rare case.”

“Unfortunately, this also highlights a real possibility for tampering with the food, on the way to delivery from a restaurant. We take this very seriously and will soon introduce tamper-proof tapes, and other precautionary measures to ensure we safeguard against this. Additionally, we will educate our delivery fleet of over 1.5 lakh partners to highlight or escalate any such deviations to us, while also encouraging our users – the custodians of our platform to highlight the smallest anomalies to us.”

Nowadays we immensely rely on these apps and knowing such activity made us think twice about the application.
